Quality Board for Higher Education in Iceland

New Student Board Member

We are delighted to announce that Liv Teresa Muth, a PhD student in industrial biotechnology at Ghent University, has joined the Quality Board as a student member from February 2023. She was nominated to join the Board by the National Union of Icelandic Students (LÍS) after an international call for applications.

Liv has been a member of the European Students' Union Quality Assurance Student Experts’ Pool since 2017 and has participated as a student representative in expert panels of a variety of international reviews, evaluating universities as well as quality assurance agencies. She is also a member of the German Quality Assurance Student Experts' Pool and has participated in over 20 programme accreditations in Germany, among other projects. She has been an active participant in numerous conferences and seminars on QA in higher education and participated in the publication of review guidelines and toolkits, such as Listen, Talk and Team-Up: Considerations for panel members in external quality assurance.

The Board look forward to working with her in our full range of work during the next two years, including the completion and evaluation of QEF2 and the development and implementation of QEF3.
