Quality Board for Higher Education in Iceland

Quality Board message on COVID-19

The Quality Board for Icelandic Higher Education is dedicated to the safe execution of the Quality Enhancement Framework, and is re-arranging its schedule in consulation with partners and stakeholders to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic.

The Quality Board for Icelandic Higher Education is aware that COVID-19 is causing major disruptions on university campuses.  Because the health and well-being of all who are involved in QEF2 is our highest priority, the Board has instigated measures that would mitigate the disruption to the QEF2 cycle.

Our first decision was to postpone an institutional review visit to the University of Iceland, originally scheduled for March, to October. We have changed the Quality Board meeting in May to a conference call. We are also postponing a series of events scheduled in May. These include the meeting of the Research Evaluation Advisory Committee, the annual conference, and the planned annual meetings to Bifröst University and the Icelandic University of the Arts. These will be rescheduled at a mutually agreed time.
