Quality Board for Higher Education in Iceland

Board transition

Prof Philip Winn and Prof Ellen Hazelkorn have stepped down from the Quality Board for Icelandic Higher Education after six years of service. Prof Winn also served as Chair of REAC during this time. 

The Board thank them both for their commitment and contribution to the Icelandic higher education sector and their part in building up engagement of the Icelandic universities in quality assurance. 

We are delighted to welcome Prof Andrea Nolan and Prof Jean-Marc Rapp as new members to the Board.  

Prof Nolan also takes over the role of Chair of REAC. A professor of veterinary medicine, she been Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Edinburgh Napier University since 2013, following numerous roles as Professor, Dean, Vice Principal and Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Glasgow.  

Prof Rapp, a professor of law, has served as Rector of the University of Lausanne, President of the Swiss Accreditation Council, President of Euresearch, President of the European University Association (EUA).
