Norman Sharp inducted into the Icelandic Order of the Falcon

Prof. Norman Sharp, founding Chair of the Quality Board for Icelandic Higher Education, inducted into the Order of the Falcon by President Guðni Th. Jóhannesson.

Prof. Norman Sharp, the founding Chair of the Quality Board for Icelandic Higher Education, was inducted into the Order of the Falcon on November 18, 2019 by President Guðni Th. Jóhannesson. The Order of the Falcon, established in 1921, is the only order of chivalry in Iceland.

Prof. Sharp was inducted into the Order of the Falcon to recognise his contributions to Icelandic Higher Education. Prof. Sharp, who is the former Director of The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in Scotland, founded the Quality Board for Icelandic Higher Education in 2011. He served as the Board's Chair until 2017, and has since served as a member of the Board.
